Steele Media is based in Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia, the ideal place to be - lifestyle, close proximity to Asia and, because Darwin is the ‘front door’ to Australia’s outback with its unique fusion of flora, fauna and our ancient Aboriginal culture, make it the ideal location for a international production company.
Graham Steele established Steele Media in 2006 to fill a gap of original content produced in this unique part of the world, and to establish a world class Film & TV school / workshop in the Aussie Outback.
Graham has worked in the international TV business for over 22 years. He started his career in Darwin and went on to work in Sydney, London, New York and Los Angeles.
Graham’s most recent assignment was as Director of Photography on Discovery Channel USA’s biggest selling series, ‘Future Weapons’.
Graham has a real passion for the Australian Outback and our Aboriginal culture. He believes that the unique mix of cultures, with extraordinary climate, flora and fauna will make this part of the world a real stand out on the international film and TV map.
Darwin is an asset professionally because it gives us proximity to the 'rest of Australia', as well as incredible access to the Asian cities and cultures. Our training and consulting business is thriving and growing and we will stay committed to our existing and future clients wherever they may be. We continue to travel to Asia, London, New York and LA to keep our sensibilities alive and focused on what the rest of the world is doing. We are heavily invested and interested in internet technology and the power of Web 2.0, and are making strides in that area as well.
